In Episcopal churches, a group of parish-elected representatives serve alongside the Rector/Priest-In-Charge as the church’s governing board. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the vision of the congregation, to support the church's mission by word and deed, and to manage the finances. Elections are held each year during the Annual Parish Meeting for all parish lay officers.
